Donation to Dublin Simon Community

Crumlin GAA were delighted to donate €1711.00 to the Dublin Simon Community today.

Here is Crumlin GAA club member Darren Hodgins presenting Gay Mooney of the Dublin Simon Community with the cheque at our clubhouse in O’Toole Park.

This money was fundraised by Darren who completed a marathon by running a little over 42 laps of Pearse Park back on the 9th May 2020.

Congratulations again to Darren on this amazing achievement.

COVID-19 Club Education eLearning Module

The Covid19 Club Education eLearning module for Gaelic Games is now available.

It is important that this is completed by all mentors & parents/guardians of the juvenile teams before returning to training & games. It takes approx. 20 minutes to complete.

Crumlin GAA Launch Lotto Online

We are delighted to announce that our club lotto is moving to an online system from this week. The first draw will take place at 8pm this Sunday 21st June with a jackpot of €2, 850 😊.
The online system will close at 7.30pm on the Sunday so it’s important you register your numbers before this time.

For anyone that needs help using the online system for the first time, our club secretary Catherine Fitzgerald will be in the clubhouse on Thursday evening from 7pm to 8.30pm and she will be happy to help you on this.
Also if you have any lotto envelopes to drop in you can do so then.

CLUB NOTES – MONDAY 15TH JUNE 2020

  1. 1) The management and mentors will be busy this week putting protocols in place for the return of training / play on the 29th June. More information will be posted on this mattera in due course.

2) Results for the monthly draw for June are –

(i) Niamh Fitzsimmons – €1,000

(ii) Jim Minihan – € 200

(iii) Maurice Kerrigan – €100

(iv) Shay Swift – €50

(v) Owen Cotter – €50

3) Crumlin GAA launch lotto online

Our lotto online will commence on Sunday 21st June with our jackpot set at €2,850. Anyone who submitted lotto envelopes and/or payments to the club prior to it’s close on the 15th March will be included in the first draw. Also anyone who regularly entered the lotto draw will be contacted prior to this Sundays draw. Links to play online will be posted on our social media platforms tomorrow.

CLUB NOTES – MONDAY 8TH JUNE 2020

1.) Our juvenile players and mentors have been very busy during these surreal times. Following are only some of the events they have participated in –

(i) Our players and mentors participated in the Dean Rock Run for Stewarts Hospital. Between them over 90 people completed 480km.

(ii) Our U11 and U13 camogie girls have been very busy over the last few weeks – they made lovely stay safe cards to send to our Club Cocooners, they entered their great Artwork into an Easter Art competition and they linked up with Good Counsel, St Kevin’s and Commercial to do a drills challenge for Dublin Camogie.

(iii) Our U10 Football and Hurling boys made a thank you poster for our frontline staff.

(iv) Our U12 boys and U16 girls both ran family quizzes.

2.) All of our teams are participating in on-line training sessions on a regular basis. Thank you to all parents and guardians for facilitating these sessions.

3.) Thank you again to Darren Hodgins who ran a full marathon in Pearse Park to raise funds for both the cub and our Frontline Workers. Thank you also to everyone who supported Darren. Darren’s chosen charity was the amazing Dublin Simon Community who are currently supporting hospitals during this pandemic. The total amounts raised by Darren was € 3,555 (less fees of € 125).

4.) The club held a Virtual Bingo Night on Saturday 30th May and the response to this was phenomenal. Everyone had a great night and congratulations again to all our winners. We hope to hold another Bingo night in the near future and further details will be issued before then.

5.) Crumlin GAA would like to wish our 6th Class students all the best as they finish Primary School.

6.) Management would like to wish all our members and their families well as we continue to observe the HSE Guidelines.
