Uncategorized

1.) Our juvenile players and mentors have been very busy during these surreal times. Following are only some of the events they have participated in –

(i) Our players and mentors participated in the Dean Rock Run for Stewarts Hospital. Between them over 90 people completed 480km.

(ii) Our U11 and U13 camogie girls have been very busy over the last few weeks – they made lovely stay safe cards to send to our Club Cocooners, they entered their great Artwork into an Easter Art competition and they linked up with Good Counsel, St Kevin’s and Commercial to do a drills challenge for Dublin Camogie.

(iii) Our U10 Football and Hurling boys made a thank you poster for our frontline staff.

(iv) Our U12 boys and U16 girls both ran family quizzes.

2.) All of our teams are participating in on-line training sessions on a regular basis. Thank you to all parents and guardians for facilitating these sessions.

3.) Thank you again to Darren Hodgins who ran a full marathon in Pearse Park to raise funds for both the cub and our Frontline Workers. Thank you also to everyone who supported Darren. Darren’s chosen charity was the amazing Dublin Simon Community who are currently supporting hospitals during this pandemic. The total amounts raised by Darren was € 3,555 (less fees of € 125).

4.) The club held a Virtual Bingo Night on Saturday 30th May and the response to this was phenomenal. Everyone had a great night and congratulations again to all our winners. We hope to hold another Bingo night in the near future and further details will be issued before then.

5.) Crumlin GAA would like to wish our 6th Class students all the best as they finish Primary School.

6.) Management would like to wish all our members and their families well as we continue to observe the HSE Guidelines.
