Ladies Football County Championship Final

News

C’mon Crumlin bring the support!

Our Ladies Footballers play against Whitehall Colmcille in a County Championship Final on Wednesday at 7pm in St. Margaret’s GAA Club.

This match is sure to be a cracker! We have played Whitehall 3 times already this season resulting in 2 losses and 1 win. Each match was a nail biter to the end as each game was seperated by only 1 point in two of the games and then by 2 points in the last game.

Entry is €5, the county board would prefer if you have your tickets bought online before you arrive but cash will also be accepted at the gate. Under 16’s are FREE & do not require a ticket.

Anti-social behaviour destroys club’s playing pitch.

News

With great sadness and anger we have to report that our main playing pitch in Pearse Park was destroyed last night by extreme anti-social behaviour. A car was rammed through the park gates and subsequently set on fire leaving behind debris, glass and scorched earth.

The pitch was only last week deemed playable again after months of no use due to pitch repairs & improvements.

As Championship matches are underway for our adult teams and shortly to begin for our juvenile teams this is devastating for the club, the players and the local Crumlin community.

This anti-social behaviour puts unnecessary pressure on local fire services, city council park services and also massively affects our efforts to promote Gaelic Games in the community.

As Pearse Park is our sole designated playing pitch combined with such a shortage of GAA playing pitches in Crumlin it will be difficult for the club to manage our upcoming fixtures but we will of course do our best for all teams.

We will not allow this mindless action destroy the community spirit of Crumlin GAA.

Funeral Notice

News

On behalf of Crumlin GAA, we wish to extend our sincere condolences on the sad passing of Mary O’Connor. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, clubmates in St Brigid’s GAA Club, and Dublin LGFA during this difficult time.

Mary was a generous, kind, and patient lady who possessed a deep understanding of all matters relating to LGFA. Her extensive knowledge and experience were invaluable to those who worked alongside her.

Throughout the years, Mary offered Crumlin GAA considerable support. Her guidance and encouragement made a significant difference to our club and its members. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
