Today is the 8th of March, in one month’s time on the 8th of April 2016, we will launch the 3rd Jim Boggan Memorial Cycle.  It’s time to get your bike and body in gear!!!!

Club Notes: March 7th, 2016

Most games this weekend were washed out due to the weather but one fixture did survive our senior hurlers traveled out to Mobhi Road on Sunday morning to take on Na Fianna but unfortunately lost out. There are no adult games fixed for this weekend.

As part of the celebrations on the centenary of the 1916 rising, Crumlin GAA are looking to organise an event in the club to mark the occasion. We are looking to hear from anybody who feels they may be able to contribute in any way to the event. Anyone with any 1916 memorabilia or any stories, songs or poems related to the rising is welcome to contribute. We would also love to hear from anyone who knew or was related to someone directly involved at the time and who was from the general Crumlin area.

If you feel you have anything to contribute please contact the club by email or you can contact Ronán @086-8369444.

  • Club Lotto was not won and there were no match 3 winners next weeks match 3 will be €300. The numbers drawn were 15,17,21,27. The winning jackpot will be €9,000
  • Club Shop has now reopened and is open every Thursday.

Congratulations to the u15 Camogie girls

Congratulations to the u15 Camogie girls for their win on Sunday in their first league match.   We saw great performances from Amber Roche who we are glad to see back and fighting fit after a long time away from the game through injury.

Also to the u12 u13 u14  girls who  stepped up to the mark to help us out. Very well done girls Brenda and Ger are say it looks very promising this year for the u15 girls Camogie team keep it up .

The under 10’s had their first away match today against Ballyboden Saint Endas.  They had a great game and played in style  in their new away jerseys courtesy of Paul Clare who sponsored another set of away jerseys for the club.

Our hurling season kicked off the weekend with two cup games in trying conditions on Sunday morning. Unfortunately both teams were beaten but both games enabled the two teams to shrug off the hurling cobwebs. This weekend it’s the turn of the footballers who play Balinteer St Johns in Marley Park at 12. The club management would also like to remind all members that annual subscriptions are now due for more information contact your selector or ask behind the bar.

Pre season training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Colaiste Mhuire for the seniors and in Bluebell with David Donnelly for the Juniors. Adult Camogie and ladies football team are also continuing their preseason in Crumlin Boxing.

Emily Dolan, pictured here with the  under 11 Camogie team, is the winner of the name the hurl competition.. she named her hurl “Woodie”, very ingenious!!!

A big thank you to Paul Clare who sponsored a new red and black set of jerseys for the U11 boys team. The new jerseys seemed to bring out the best in the boys as they were excellent on Saturday morning.

First Match for the U8s

Saturday was a big day for our future stars as the under 8 played their first match in Pearse against Good Counsel.

There were lots of smiles and a great time was had by all.
